總校長李春雷先生表示，今年是新中國成立七十周年，70年來取得的巨大成就有目共睹，同時，波瀾壯闊的歷史也告誡我們：有了強的國，才有富的家。希望蘇城外的學子們從小樹立遠大理想，學會主動學習，學會挑戰自我，時刻牢記平門塘“修正治國平天下”的提醒，時刻牢記玉成路“艱難困苦，玉汝于成”的告誡，以IB的十大素質要求自己，努力踐行“樂群博學”的學風，勤于思考，勇于行動，善于交流，努力成為勤學好問、知識淵博、積極進取、富有愛心的終身學習者，為民族振興和更美好、更和平的世界貢獻力量。
